Below Knee Prostheses

A below-knee (transtibial) prosthesis is a custom designed device that restores function comfort, balance, and freedom of movement for people with limb loss below the knee. It restores independence, mobility, and confidence by supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals. Designed with precision and your goals in mind, each prosthesis supports your everyday life—whether you’re walking comfortably at home, within the community or returning to work and sport.

Above Knee Prostheses

An above-knee (transfemoral) prosthesis combines advanced technology with clinical expertise to deliver a solution that supports natural, confident movement. Each prosthesis is individually designed to align with your goals and functional presentation. Balancing comfort, stability, and performance to help you move safely and efficiently in everyday life.

Our experienced clinicians use evidence based assessment and precision fitting techniques to create a prosthesis that is well fitting and suited to your activity.

We tailor every design to your lifestyle — whether that means walking with ease, returning to work, or taking on new sporting challenges cycling.

Microprocessor Technology – Knees & Feet

Microprocessor-controlled prosthetics represent the cutting edge of mobility, using intelligent sensors to adapt automatically with each step. These systems analyze motion and terrain 100 times per second, responding instantly to changes in walking speed, slope, or surface.

For prosthetic knees, microprocessors enhance stability when standing and fluid motion when walking. Microprocessor feet adjust ankle angles dynamically to improve balance and reduce fatigue, even on slopes or uneven ground.

Partial Foot (Silicone Prosthetics)

A silicone partial foot prosthesis is a lightweight, cosmetic, and functional solution for people with partial foot amputations. Unlike simple toe fillers, silicone prostheses offer full-foot support, restore balance, and look remarkably lifelike.

Each device is carefully sculpted and colour-matched to the user’s skin tone. The flexible silicone allows for comfortable movement, improved push-off during walking, and better weight distribution.

Activity Specific Prostheses

Activity specific prostheses are designed for one purpose—to help you pursue your passions safely and effectively. Whether you’re running, cycling, surfing, or skiing, these specialty prostheses combine high performance materials with precision engineered motion for optimal control and movement.

Each device is tailored to your activity, ensuring optimal energy transfer, balance, and shock absorption. Many clients maintain multiple prostheses for different purposes (e.g., daily walking vs. high-intensity sport).
